Affiliate Disclaimer
Our commitment to transparency
Free Stack Finder is reader-supported. Some of the links on this site are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission if you click through and make a purchase — at absolutely no extra cost to you.
We are required by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) and similar regulations in other countries to disclose this clearly, and we’re happy to do so.
How affiliate links work on this site
When we write a comparison article — say, “Best free alternatives to Adobe Photoshop” — we may include a link to the paid version of Photoshop or another premium tool. If you click that link and purchase the product, we receive a small percentage of the sale price.
This helps us keep the site running, the content free, and the lights on.
What this means for our recommendations
Here is our firm policy: affiliate relationships never determine our recommendations.
If a free tool genuinely works well, we will recommend it — even if we earn nothing from that recommendation. We turn away higher-paying affiliate programs when we don’t believe the product is worth recommending.
We may decline to feature tools when the product does not fit the reader need, even if an affiliate program exists. Our comparison process and recommendations are independent.
If we recommend a paid tool or the paid version of a free tool, it’s because we believe it’s the right choice for a specific use case — not because of commission rates.
Programs we participate in
We currently participate in the following affiliate programs:
- Amazon Associates — for hardware and physical product links (webcams, security keys, storage drives, and similar)
- NordVPN and NordPass affiliate programs — Nord Security’s affiliate programs for VPN and password manager recommendations
This list reflects programs currently in use and is updated when our affiliate relationships change. Where we earn from a specific recommendation, we aim to note it clearly in the article.
How to identify affiliate links
Affiliate links on Free Stack Finder usually appear in direct product recommendations or CTA blocks near a buying decision. In many cases, the URL itself also contains a tracking parameter.
Not every external link is an affiliate link. Many outbound links on the site point to official homepages, documentation, support articles, or other reference material with no commission attached.
If a page includes monetized recommendations, our goal is to make that obvious in context and to back it up with the same editorial standards as the rest of the page.
Our editorial independence
The editorial team at Free Stack Finder makes all content and recommendation decisions independently. No advertiser or affiliate partner has editorial control over our reviews or comparisons.
If you have concerns about a specific recommendation or believe we may have a conflict of interest, please contact us and we will address it directly.
Questions?
If you have any questions about our affiliate relationships or how we make money, please reach out through our contact page. We’re an open book.
